Tammie Lang Campbell
Tammie Lang Campbell, Founder/Executive Director of the Honey Brown Hope
Foundation, a non-profit children's Writing and cultural literacy organization is
heading the initiative to bury the N-word.  She was the first to petition Merriam
Webster's Dictionary in 1991 to remove or change the definition of the N-word, which
resulted in NAACP Region Six adopting it as a resolution and presenting it a the
national NAACP Conference.  Additionally, Merriam Webster revisied the definition in
its 1993 edition.   
Hometown Alcornites brings good luck to the Braves
Alcornites joined together for tailgate as the Alcorn Braves defeat the TSU Tigers this weekend.  Many local and out of town Alcornites enjoyed beautiful weather as
